Growing Compassion at Work
How can the season of spring help us tune into ourselves, colleagues, and projects?
Treetops Collective / March 23, 2026 / 1.5 Hours
I spent a staff meeting with the twenty-three member Treetops Collective team to offer tools, encouragement, and support in cultivating compassion at work. The session was split into three sections with an eye toward grounding in the season of spring:
Defining Compassion: the process of noticing suffering, feeling empathy, and responding with care (defined by Jane Dutton and Monica Worline).
Applying the cyclical wisdom of each season to our roles and projects, as taught by Kate Northrup.
Practicing a RAIN self-compassion meditation created by Tara Brach
We accomplished this through a mixture of my teaching, small group discussion, one on one debriefs, snack breaks, and a guided meditation.
