Your companion on the journey

Hi, I’m Amy.

For as long as I can remember, I have been on the spiritual path: seeking love, pursuing meaning, and practicing ways to connect to the Divine.

My decades in church buildings and Christian schools taught me to value group rituals like communion, theological study, potlucks, and community service.

My work at catholic universities revealed the gifts of silence, retreats, and contemplative practices.

As I have navigated my own ups and downs, I am grateful for the mentors who have cared for me and wisdom I’ve gained that sustains my soul.

I am studying Christian spiritual renewal and compassion-based spiritual direction at Claremont School of Theology.

I am passionate about exploring with fellow travelers on the spiritual path so they know they are not alone, there is hope, and they have what is takes to keep going.

Collaboration is my sweet spot. I have worked on diverse teams in various settings, including universities, non-profit organizations, and ministries. I have led and facilitated workshops and small group gatherings. In these settings, I listen well and work with intentionality.

My approach

Rooted in the contemplative Christianity

As a lifelong Christian, my spiritual wisdom comes from that tradition. Serving with other Christians, studying Christian values, and engaging in contemplative practices have nurtured my faith in Christ.

Informed by Internal Family Systems

The therapeutic framework created by Richard Schwartz has been transformational in my own spiritual practice. It shapes the way I see myself and others: as beloved, capable of healing, and called to offer unique gifts.

Grounded in compassion

Compassion is the courage to witness pain and respond with love. It is at the heart of the Divine and has the healing power we need to experience wholeness. Cultivating compassion for ourselves, friends, and even enemies is possible through consistent practice.
