Your companion on the journey
Hi, I’m Amy
I accompany individuals and groups as they seek deeper integration in their spiritual lives. When we meet one on one, my goal is to create a hospitable space in our conversations where you can feel at ease and the Spirit can move freely. When I lead a workshop, I tailor the spiritual care content to meet the stated needs of the group (example topics are contemplative prayer, listening, self-awareness, grief, or compassion).
Here is a little background on me. I love to learn. I earned a bachelor of arts in communication at Calvin University and a master of arts in higher education at Geneva College. Currently, I am a doctoral student at the Claremont School of Theology, studying compassion-based spiritual renewal and spiritual direction.
Collaboration is my sweet spot. I have worked on diverse teams in universities, non-profit organizations, and ministry settings. Through the work of leading teams, crafting workshops, and facilitating small groups, I have learned to listen deeply and create intentional gatherings.
When I am not working, you can find me playing Uno with my husband and son, watching a Tiny Desk Concert, chatting with my neighbors while out walking my dog, or texting my sister.

“Amy was very collaborative, inviting and open to opinion and feedback on ideas and plans, and considerate and intentional in offering a space that would host people's sorrowing souls well. She has a gift of inviting people into connection and uses her energy to pull together into a cohesive whole all the disparate parts that go into planning such a unique retreat space."

“What I noticed with Amy is she also seemed to receive energy from sharing her personal story, reading a children’s story of hope to the group and making herself available to others during the offering and after. She is a bright light and eager to share her gifts with others despite holding her own grief and sorrow which takes such a brave heart.”
